Flickering Idea at McDonalds
Difficult to see in this photo but look top right of the bean to cup coffee machines and there is a flickering night light candle in the coffee cups to catch your attention. Simple clever idea and at Mcdonalds.

The Tale of Two Coffees
Welcome to the Future say Nestle "Super Premium Beverages" about their Viaggi concept. I don't think so. A £10k Cimbali machine making espresso coffee from instant coffee granules and concentrated long life milk. The smell alone was enough to put you off. If this takes off in the UK, words fail me.
A better but still different idea from Scanomat is the hidden coffee machine
This may work in Business & Industry sites, especially where the architect wants a really clean line counter. No reassurance about the quality at first sight and cafes are all about buying with your eyes.

The Ultimate Spirit
Prufrock Cafe assure me this is the espresso coffee machine - £17,000 worth of 'Spirit' Kees van der Westen's machinery - and they should know (they run a barista training company and are as coffee obsessed as one is likely to find).
They also reckon the perfect espresso cup is 5oz - the white one on the left - and this is an unusual size
