Guanabana from Juna fruits - watermelon size, pineapple-like texture with an unique aroma!

Hot Multidecks

Pret are rolling out more and more self-service hot units where soup, wraps, porridge, bacon rolls are immediately available, don't slow the service and rival the eye appeal of the sandwiches.

Skinny Dip

Skinny Dipping at Pret - all 190 calories and doesn't it sound better than "pea & mint humous with Crudites"

Rice Cakes

Another clever transfer from Julian Metcalfe's Itsu operation to mainstream Pret - chocolate covered rice cakes.  Will they follow popcorn and go nationwide?

Impressive Staff

Pret set a standard
Levy Restaurants are going to make a difference to Compass
Perhaps the suggested 16%, 18% or 20% gratuity (in New York) would help?!

Jamie's Chic Shack

Bicester Village - the chic outlet shopping venue for hordes of overseas visitors - has an interesting mix of catering.  The largest Pret I have ever seen plus Carluccios, Villandry Grand Cafe, Busaba Eathai and this shed by Jamie Oliver's outside catering company Fabulous Feasts.  Quite what the visitors think of chelsea buns and eccles cakes, goodness knows but they were of good quality.

That Lived-In Look

And I always thought those brick walls were real!

Corporate Pret are certainly aware of the change in cafe feel/fashion/interior design

Sex, Drugs & Bacon Rolls

Sign at The Breakfast Club - "Home of the Bacon Butty" although it wasn't a patch on Popham Little Chef's Heston special with five rashers of  Denhay Wiltshire cure bacon - two back and three streaky - in quality bloomer bread.  That was magnificent.
Pret's new British Bacon Buttie sold from the heated wrap/porridge unit

High Speed Panini

Great panini presentation at Chessington Garden Centre's new Sedum cafe restaurant and they are using Electrolux's High Speed Grill as seen at Pret.  The kit is not cheap but allows you to serve a panini/toastie within 60 seconds.
